When both partners have been tested positive for Type 2 genital herpes and during an outbreak of either partner and intimacy occurs will it cause an outbreak in the other partner?

I've never had any kind of outbreak, but I recently tested positive.
I'm kind of freaking out...

To my knowledge if you both have the virus then no...if one person has a breakout it will not cause YOU to break out.

Breakouts lessen over time anyway because your immune system is learning how to suppress the virus. You never get rid of it completely. (There is no cure presently.)

But boosting your immune system can never go wrong.
