Hi, It has been one month since I have a sensation of burning, tearing and foreign body around my eye (in the eyelid). Sometimes it is more painful than others. I have sometime a rash sensation. It is only hapenning in my left eye.

I have read that a first infection can be asymptomatic for herpes 1 innoculation. In order words, how can I be sure of what it is?

I would recommend to visit your doctor. It looks like typic hsv-1 eyelid infection.

You can easily spread your herpes to eyelid. Especially if you touch your body in this way and wasn't careful about hand washing after touching infected area.
