I just got the results back from my blood work, which have always been fine, maybe a little high, but always within range.
I just tested positive for hsv I&II.
I'm freaking out...depressed...worried...
I have a girlfriend, and I had no idea that I had put her at risk.
Now she's on the verge of hating me, I'm lost, depressed, frantic and I don't know what to do.
I've never had any kind of outbreak, so it never occurred to me that I might be a carrier. I routinely get a full std panel when I do my quarterly blood work, and I've never had any issues before.
I feel alone and terrified.

Everybody is depressed after finding out.

I want to give you advice: don't be. Relax. Herpes is not that serious if you learn how to live with it until vaccine is developed.

I suppose your first step is to inform your girlfriend if you didn't and that you both find steps to live with it.

You just need to find treatment to control your outbreaks, eat healthy food, drink a lot of vitamin c fluids ...

its really not a big deal to people like us. its just the way other people make it a big deal and make u feel. the name alone is sickening. mayb they should change it to something nice, like genital ranbows lol
