Has anyone with Herpes ever had their antibody blood test come up positive? I wonder if the test is accurate?


How long does it take for male or female to develop antibodies to Herpes Simplex Virus ?

Did you take the kind that tells you the difference between the two types? That's the best one from what I've heard.

I get tested pretty regularly because my gf has HSV2. When I talked to a counselor at tstd.org, she told me that the antibodies can start to show up from anywhere from a couple weeks up to about 3 months--I think that goes for both males and females. My tests have always come back negative but I go get tested every few months just to make sure.
