Male Herpes

What you need to know about Male Herpes

Sex is fun and exciting when you are having it. But as soon as it is over it is back to reality. The reality is that sex can expose you to a number of debilitating illnesses that could get you in a depressed state of mind if you are not careful. It is for this reason that you should be careful not to contract one of the many Sexually Transmitted diseases (STIs). Male herpes is one of them.

Just like female herpes there are two types. First there is HSV1, a type of herpes that mainly targets the mouth area. With this herpes commonly known as the cold sore an oral infection develops around the mouth area. The second known type is HSV2, the more severe type that infects the genital area, triggering a number of scary signs and symptoms.

Generally the first symptoms are itching and irritation in the genital area. After the itching and tingly phase has passed more grueling signs begin to manifest. The typical signs are inflammations on the penis, buttocks and anus. And when these inflammations have been scratched enough blisters then appear. These blisters do not actually last for long until they develop into open sores.

In addition to these signs there are a number of symptoms to also look out for. A burning sensation when urinating is predominantly followed by constipation, lack of energy and headaches. Plus, you also experience inflammation of lymph nodes and constipation. But regardless of the fact that these are pretty serious symptoms, they are treatable.

In order to reduce the level of infection you can use topical creams. Such creams help to kill the infection to a certain extent. But you must try as much as possible to refrain from sexual activity. This could lead to further worsening and contraction of other diseases.
